Why choose us

Accuracy & reliability

Capacity you can trust — under your firm’s brand or alongside the bookkeeper. Same operation behind every deliverable.

U.S. oversight, secure document transfer, multi-factor authentication, NDAs and BAAs. Every deliverable — return or report — gets an independent review before it leaves the door.

The Book Office was founded by Jonathan Allen, CPA to give accounting firms — and corporate bookkeepers — a reliable back office. We’ve lived the seasonality, the turnover, and the compliance pressure on the firm side. Our work is built to solve those problems directly, whether you’re billing your clients for it or doing the work yourself.

Every file gets an independent review before release. Internal scorecards track accuracy and timeliness every month. All documentation is securely stored for full traceability.

TBO Partner work is delivered under your firm’s name — your clients never see us. TBO Direct works alongside the accounting team, augmenting capacity without taking over the role. Either way, the buyer stays in front of the work.

Start with a pilot project and scale as needed — from a handful of returns to hundreds, or from a month of cleanup to ongoing bookkeeping. No seat commitments. No minimums. Flex up during tax season and down afterward without HR headaches.

We work in the same systems your team does — QuickBooks Online for bookkeeping; Thomson Reuters UltraTax, Intuit ProSeries, or Intuit ProConnect for tax preparation; Revver for document management. No new platform to learn, no migration project, no disruption.
