One operation, same standards

White-label or direct — same team, same review, same cadence.

Let's Talk

Proof, not promises.

A CPA firm's season, fixed

Dacchille, Allen & Associates (DAA), a Boone, NC CPA firm, put ~150 individual returns through The Book Office this season — most done before May. Extensions fell from over 60% of returns to under 40%, with no seasonal hire.

A national tax platform, served

The Book Office ran a fully automated white-label tax pipeline behind ezTaxReturn, a national DIY tax platform: zero onboarding failures, hard payment and document controls on every return, and no added headcount.

FAQ

Common questions.

What firms and business owners ask us before they buy.

What’s the difference between TBO Partner and TBO Direct?

TBO Partner runs the work behind accounting and bookkeeping firms — white-label, your client never sees us. TBO Direct works directly with corporate bookkeepers who want to scale their own capacity without losing control of the books. Same team, same standards, two ways to engage.

Do you sign long-term contracts?

No. No long-term contracts, no seat minimums. You can scale up, scale down, or stop at any time.

How do you keep client data secure?

Encrypted transfers, multi-factor authentication, secure document platforms, and signed NDAs. Every deliverable also gets a documented independent review before it leaves the door.

How quickly do you turn work around?

We work to your deadlines and close schedule. Turnaround is agreed up front for each engagement, and delivery happens on the agreed date — if a date is ever at risk, you hear it before the date, not after.

What software do you use?

We work in the stack you — or your clients — already use. QuickBooks Online, ProSeries, ProConnect, secure document platforms, and the tax software your firm prefers. We don’t push you onto a proprietary system.

For firms: do you ever contact our clients directly?

Only if you ask us to. By default we work entirely behind your firm’s brand — your clients don’t know we exist.

For bookkeepers: do you replace my role?

No. You stay on the books and on the client; we take the volume work — daily entries, reconciliations, monthly close, cleanup. You keep visibility, the client keeps you, and your capacity goes up without adding a hire.

Where is your team based?

The Book Office is U.S.-managed under U.S. firm leadership. Our quality standards — independent review, monthly scorecards, secure platforms — are consistent across the operation regardless of where any individual team member sits.
